Product: Elitebook 850 G5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good evening. I have a pretty inconvenient problem on my elitebook. When I have to leave my workstation for a few minutes I lower the notebook screen. Upon my return, by lifting the screen, the desktop opens without Windows requesting the login. How can I fix it so that every time I lift the screen ask me for credentials? Thank you.

Normally when you close the lid, machine will go to sleep mode, if you wish to enter password and waking it up, please try

 

(a) Hold down Win key and press letter I,

(b) Select Accounts,

(c) Click Sign-in options,

(d) Change the 'Require sign-in' field from 'Never' to 'When PC wakes up from sleep'.

Settings are okay. I think the problem is that when I close the lid the pc does not go to sleep mode. How can I verify?
