Hi! I lost my bios password and I really need to change my wifi from OFF too ON.
And Iv heard that you could use my UUID to generate a file that could help me!
Is that so?

Hi,

You have a business class machine and unfortunately security is more stringent than consumer models - there are no 'backdoor' passwords for Probooks.

You can either contact HP regarding this on the link below.

Contact HP.

Or if you, or someone you know has soldering skills, you can replace the bios chip - an example of a replacement chip can be seen on the following link.

Use Regedit from command prompt, then use find function and search for "SMBiosUUID".

Mine was located with this path: HKEY_Local_Machine>Software>Network
Associates>ePolicy Orchestrator>Agent>SMBiosUUID

It will look like this: 12345678-1234-1234-123456789012 (numbers or letters).

I know its almost three years already, but for you who still looking for UUID can try this from command prompt:

wmic path win32_computersystemproduct get uuid

or

wmic
csproduct

hope it solved your problem
