Product: HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15-ed1000 (169W8AV)

I am unable to retrieve "older" emails on my laptop.  I cannot retrieve them either thru an advanced search.  It just says "nothing to show"  I have no problem retrieving them from a desktop.  I use Rogers email.  the fact that i can retrieve them from my desktop, tells me that it is a device issue.  Please help.
