What is going on is the laptop has likely a 32 gig eMMC hard drive which is very puny. People who have these are constantly running into disk space issues.

The 4 gigs of RAM is not relevant here...we are talking about permanent storage. The best thing to do is to get a micro SD card to hold pictures music movies documents and you are going to have to exercise hard drive space discipline to keep the unit with enough free disk space to be useable.

32 gigs is just so minimal. It still makes sense to put in a micro-SD storage card and try to move as much as possible over to it. Post back if you need more help with that.

Its more for the future. Aren't you going to create documents for your classes or download apps? Will you ever want to download a movie or music? This will make a place to hold those. First you have to get the drive cleared off as much as possible using the link above.
