HP Stream My Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Every day I receive a message that my storage is low, it is consistently falling below 1.0 GB without me downloading anything.  Can't understand why it is dangerously low without adding anything other than a printer since I purchased the laptop.  Why when I go to Disk Management it shows I have 260 MB free on Disk 0 partition 1?  Is there a way to make that free space available?  Every time I click on it, all the options are gray.

Did you read its specs before opening your wallet/bag ? I don't know what it is because you did not supply what is it model/product BUT I can say 99% sure it is a machine with ONLY has 32GB of eMMC storage.

>>> Is there a way to make that free space available?

That is system reserved partition, without it system won't run

Can you return it and buy a proper one ? Otherwise you WILL get more problem down the line. Machine is not designed as normal notebooks if you wish more storage to keep user data/files you can add 256GB SD (or microSD) card to its card slot.

Regards.

You're basically stuck with what you have.

However, here are some things you can do to recover some of the disk space:

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:

In addition, I have found the utility Cleanmgr+ to have LOTS of options for removing Windows junk, including log files. I use it practically every day. You can get it from here: https://www.getclone.app/download/category/11-cleanmgr

Also, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html
