My Thanks to WAWood for replying to my earlier query . I now have an update to my problem.
After some searching I found the product key for MS Office 2007. (I had it writted down in my notes). I then contacted Microsoft told me it was a valid key and and he tried to download Office unto my computer but he could not succeed (file not found was the response). He gave me the link to try myself to download Office 2007 and then use my key to activate. I too failed. This is the link. (http://web.archive.org/web/20171112075812/http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent.net/msoffice/pub/X12-3...)
I also found a set of four DVD's (recovery discs) which I had made some years ago while Windows 7 was my OS. I followed the instructions from HP to do so. I looked in the DVD's and the most of ther files are named 'base' then a number and the extension 'wim' ( if that means anything to you). Am I correct in thinking that Office 2007 is somewhwere in those files. I am wondering is it possible to extract Office 2007 from the DVD's?
When I upgraded to Windows 10 all was fine until a recent update to Windows 10 erased my Office 2007 (I got no advance warning). I told that to Microsost rep. but no sympathy - just buy a new version!
I know I am bothering you again but any help to recover Office 2007 would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi:
You can't download Microsoft Office 2007 anymore. Microsoft has discontinued the download link.
I just tried it with the retail Office 2007 product key I have and the site generated a message that support for this product has been discontinued.
You can't extract it from the recovery disks you made. The program would be in an 'already installed' state, so there would be no installer.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try and find a copy on eBay that comes with the installation disk.
Since Office 2007 is no longer supported by Microsoft, a copy can probably be had for very little money.
