Because of malware on my laptop, which I can’t find because it’s locked my windows defender, I can no longer use any kind of internet browser or app, as the websites show up as pure html string. Can someone help me to either get rid of it or unlock my virus scanner so that I can get rid of it that way?

@Tom_gxz,

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to use any browser on your computer due to a malware.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you download and run the Malwarebytes (A free software which can remove malware) on your computer and it should remove any malware present on your computer.

NOTE: Malwarebytes is third-party software and HP has no control over it.

If you continue facing the issue, then I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when everything was working fine on the computer.

Follow the steps in the below article to perform a system restore.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
