Many thanks guys for your efforts.

I've downloaded files via Edge.

Installed latest HP Client Security. Configuration. It took my finger prints and replaced Windows Hello for loging on to Windows. That worked. Unfortunately in the browser integration, after clicking on firefox, HP Client Security greys out, I get the loading cirlce and that's it. It does not go further.

Anyway I going to give up on this HP software and I am going to go with what you suggest and try one of the programs you mentioned.

Thanks and all the best,

Rimszot

Well, "good enough".  :smileyindifferent:  At least you can download and install.

There are enough password security programs out there that one or another not working, while irritating, is not "the end".

One thing I have not had to do recently (but might help if you were inclined to poke at this a final time):

  • Back up your Firefox bookmarks
  • If you have not done so, create a Firefox account (helps with sync and such)
  • Download the latest Firefox
  • Uninstall existing Firefox
  • Install a new copy of the program
  • Import your bookmarks

Before adding any Firefox add-ons (in particular Ghostery or NoScript - these are heavy footed and stomp on applications):  Try the security setup again

Thanks. I did follow the instrcutions, but still HPSC gets stuck while trying to install FF extension.

Maybe there's something installed on my system that interfers with HPSC and FF working together. Hard to tell why it does not work.

I think it is the most reasonable solution to try third party software as you suggested.

Thanks for all the info and help.

All the best,

You might try starting Firefox without any add-ins.

How can I disable addons without starting Firefox?

Firefox Safe Mode may or may not have any effect.  In fact, it may just refuse to do much of anything useful.  ??

Check to make sure your .NET framework is at the latest version (or at least 4.5).

Yes, when all is said and done, it the Client Security is somehow incompatible with your setup, there are good alternative options out there.
