I changed my processor to intel core 2 quad Q6600 

it shows Microcode Update error

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the HP quickspecs for your PC.

 

HP Compaq 6000 Pro Business PC (highspeedbackbone.net)

 

The list of supported processors can be found on page 8.

 

The Q6600 is not a supported processor, which is why you are getting that error.

 

You could try installing the Microcode update with the slight chance it may resolve the issue.

 

Microcode Update for HP 786G and 786H8 BIOS Family Computers with Intel Processors

ENHANCEMENTS:
- Updates the Intel Processor microcode for processors having CPU IDs 6FB, 6FD, 10676, 10677, and 1067A.


NOTE: To determine the CPU ID, press F10 on the target computer during startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view File/System Information for the CPU ID, which is listed after the Processor Stepping.
