Just bought HP laptop with 1 year free Microsoft 365 installed but when I click on, for example, the Powerpoint app it says my free trial expires in a few days, How can this be? Why can't I access the free 1 year version ?

Hi @Stenor ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing issues with accessing the free 1-year subscription of Microsoft 365 on your HP laptop, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Check Activation Status:
- Ensure that your Microsoft 365 subscription is properly activated. You can do this by opening any Office application (such as Word or Excel) and checking for any prompts or messages regarding activation.
Use Correct Microsoft Account:
- Make sure you are signed in with the Microsoft account associated with the free 1-year subscription. Sometimes, users may have multiple Microsoft accounts, and using the wrong one can lead to activation issues.
Verify Subscription Details:
- Double-check the details of your Microsoft 365 subscription. Confirm that it indeed includes a free 1-year subscription and that it hasn't expired. You might want to review the documentation or email confirmation you received when you purchased the laptop.
Reinstall Microsoft 365:
- As a troubleshooting step, you can try reinstalling Microsoft 365 on your laptop. Uninstall the existing installation and then download and install the latest version from the official Microsoft website.
Check for Updates:
- Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues with software, including Microsoft 365.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
