Hi @Constance6 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're facing issues with Microsoft Edge not allowing access to OneDrive due to permissions, you might want to check and adjust the permissions in the browser settings. Here's how you can do it:
Open Microsoft Edge: Open the Microsoft Edge browser on your HP laptop.
Go to Settings: Click on the three horizontal dots (ellipsis) in the top-right corner of the browser window to open the menu. From the menu, select "Settings."
Navigate to Site Permissions: In the Settings menu, look for and click on "View advanced settings." Scroll down to the "Privacy and services" section, and then click on "Site permissions."
Manage Permissions for OneDrive:
- Look for "OneDrive" or the specific URL of OneDrive in the list of site permissions.
- You may find it under "Cookies and site data" or "Pop-ups and redirects," depending on the issue.
Adjust Permissions:
- Adjust the permissions for OneDrive. Ensure that permissions like Cookies, Pop-ups, and others are allowed if necessary.
- Make sure that the website is not blocked or restricted in any way.
Clear Browser Data: Sometimes, clearing the browser data can resolve permission-related issues. In the "Privacy and services" section of the Settings, click on "Choose what to clear" under "Clear browsing data." Select the appropriate options and click "Clear."
Try InPrivate Browsing (Optional): You can also try opening a new InPrivate browsing window (Incognito mode) to see if the issue persists. InPrivate browsing does not save browsing history, cookies, or site data.
Update Microsoft Edge: Ensure that your Microsoft Edge browser is up to date. Outdated browsers may have bugs that could cause such issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
