Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

When I use Windows 11 , Microsoft store to download WhatsApp it downloads an old 2017 version.  I need the latest version of Whatsapp on my desktop and Microsoft Store pops up whenever I try to download the latest version of WhatsApp from their official website. It takes me back to the store and shows me the old 2017 version. 

 

It is quite frustrating, I tried different ways to disable the Microsoft Store but that has not worked.

 

Please guide me through this. I thought this would be simple to resolve by myself but looks like I'm missing something.

Microsoft Store in Windows 11 does not allow download directly from WhatsApp official website.
