I was trying to type on a Word document, and quotations/apostrophes wouldn't show up. And then, all letters except for A, B, and C wouldn't show up. I checked, and the font color is NOT white. Also, when I tried searching up solutions, everyone kept saying to change stuff in the settings. Well, whenever I go to any kind of settings, the boxes don't show all the words, so it's impossible to know which settings to change. I assume this is a problem with the laptop itself, not Word. I think I have a virus because I keep geting messages saying that my antivirus thingy expired.(which would explain why the stupid laptop keeps freezing up) How do I "un-expire" it??? Please help!! This is what settings boxes look like:
update: now the letters show up, but symbols still dont!
update #2: Now letters are back to being invisible. ugh 😡😡

Please tell us (1) what version of MS Word you are using and (2) what OS version you are running.
Also, it would help to open a new text file and see if you run into the same font visibility and characters problem. If not, there is something wrong with MS Word and we can't help you with that; instead, you would have to contact Microsoft about that.
Good Luck
