Microsoft Windows 11

Hi there,

My Microsoft Store has stopped working - it won't open.

I've tried wsreset.exe and I get the following message:

    ms-windows-store:PurgeCatches

The package  runtime information is corrupted

Then I ran sfc /scannow in cmd as a possible solution but it did not work.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank  you!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I tried what you suggested to no avail, I'm afraid.

Then, I found a fix in the following tutorial:

How to Fix Microsoft Store Not Working Windows 11? - YouTube

It was just a case of reseting the app. It's method 4 in the video ( starts at second 57)

Thanks anyway. Hopefully this may be helfpul to others.

Stay well 😉

You have done all the right things.  Did SFC give an error?  If so, do DISM instead

How to use SFC or DISM to repair Windows

Your registry may be corrupted.

Create a new user in windows 11 but do not use a Microsoft account.   Give the user admin rights.

Log out of your current account and log into the new one.

See if the store starts working.

Let me know what you find out.

Thanks for showing me that!

I have used that wsreset to update my old HP Smart application but did not know about the repair of the store.
