I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding my recent purchase from Flipkart — an HP Pavilion Aero laptop that was listed as a brand-new product with Microsoft Office Home & Student pre-installed.
Unfortunately, after setting up the device, I discovered the following:
The laptop came with Microsoft Office LTSC Standard 2021, which is a business volume license and not intended for personal use. It is now prompting me for activation. There is no valid Office Home & Student license associated with my Microsoft account, despite it being clearly listed in the product description.
Upon verifying the laptop's serial number on HP’s official warranty portal, I found that the factory warranty had already expired before my purchase date, suggesting that the laptop is either refurbished, previously used, or sold as new despite being old stock.
I was trying to contact HP support through call / mail. But all i am getting is some AI assistant which is not at all useful. I am not even able to get a callback. I am falling into a loop of links, coming back to the same page again.
