Product: Hp elitebook 840 g4
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My hp elitebook 840 g4 has a i7 - 7500 cpu with 4 cores but when I check my cores through cpu-z it says I only have 2 how can I fix this to utilize all cores?

What you are seeing is correct, according to the Intel specs for your notebook's processor.

 

https://ark.intel.com/products/95451/Intel-Core-i7-7500U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_50-GHz-

 

2 cores with Hyperthreading = 4 processors listed in the device manager.
