HP Notebook - 15-bs542tu

Hello, everyone!

I am using an HP 15-BS542TU Laptop (OS: Windows 10 x64). Recently after formatting my PC, maximum drivers were installed by Windows Update. But, some drivers are missing (look at the attached screenshot). How can I fix the issue?

Hi:

These two drivers should install all of the devices that need drivers:

Install this driver first and restart the PC:

Intel Chipset Installation Utility

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101001-101500/sp101171.exe

Then install this driver:

Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Client Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96501-97000/sp96724.exe

Go to the device manager.

Click on the Unknown device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.

Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the second file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp96724.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted:

The issue has been resolved by installing Intel System 8.6.10401.9906 from Windows Optional Update section.
