Hello everyone!

Unfortunately this is the  HP user community and that means the community of users of HP products. HP Support is not really notified about posts on this forum. If you want to get your point across to HP, you need to contact HP Support DIRECTLY in your country! Otherwise, you're just preaching to the choir (HP consumers and users).

This topic has already been discussed here https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Software-and-How-To-Questions/Change-fingerprint-button-to-ri... and answered by Banhien EXPERT Level 20: "Underneath the finger print button (reader) is a sensor, you can't move it to a different location."

Problem is that this is actually NOT a real button, but instead it is a fingerprint sensor disguised as a key, supposedly more ergonomically sound, and copying the layout first introduced by Microsoft in its Microsoft Modern Keyboard.

Therefore, a simple BIOS update will do nothing for this issue, since there has to be a hardware modification first. Your dragonfly has a fingerprint sensor INSTEAD of the right ctrl key, there is no connection between this piece of plastic to the rest of your keyboard......

Other than returning the laptop and getting another model, the only other alternative to get a working right-ctrl button is remapping the left arrow (real) key. I prefer using Autohotkey v1.1 for stuff like this, cause the scripts are very powerful and the program very light on resources.
