Hello,

This is s new laptop, I copied the app Olympus Viewer 3 from my previous laptop. when trying to start the message vcomp100.dll missing is displayed.

Then I downloaded the software ( a newer replacement) direct from the Olympus support web page, installed ok, but still got the same message??

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Many thanks, Phil.

Copying if the files/folders won't work - you need to reinstall the application.

The error message you get is because your PC is missing a support package which this particular Olympus software requires. The app has been created/developed on C language. The package your PC needs is free and is called Microsoft Visual c++ redistributable

Hope this helps and resolves your issue. Please, provide an update and let me know how it goes.

Hi Rammy62,

The error code that you've mentioned refers to a corrupted registry file. The solution to this is  very simple just open COMMAND PROMPT:  Use the Windows+R to open “Run” box and then type “cmd” and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to open an administrator Command Prompt. Then type sfc /scannow this will automatically find corrupted registry files and repair them.

I'm not an HP employee and nor does work for HP
