@Vikas111, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Let's get your HP wireless mouse working again. Please try the following steps:

Basic Troubleshooting

Check the Batteries

  • Replace the batteries with fresh ones.
  • Ensure they are inserted correctly.

Verify the USB Receiver

  • Make sure the USB receiver (dongle) is securely plugged into a working USB port.
  • Try different USB ports on your PC.

Power On the Mouse

  • Some HP wireless mice have a power switch underneath. Make sure it’s turned ON.

Test on Another Device

  • Plug the USB receiver into another computer to check if the mouse works there.

Reconnect the Mouse

If your mouse uses Bluetooth instead of a USB receiver:

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
  2. Remove the mouse if it’s listed.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth and re-pair the mouse.

Update or Reinstall Drivers

  1. Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  2. Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  3. Right-click your mouse and choose Uninstall device.
  4. Restart your PC — Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Clean the Sensor

  • Flip the mouse and gently clean the sensor area with a soft cloth.
  • Dust or debris can interfere with tracking.
