Hi @Smerkes,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your camera stopped working in Microsoft Teams, it’s usually due to driver issues, app permissions, or conflicts with other software. Here’s how to fix it:
Step 1: Check Camera Permissions
- Windows 11:
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Ensure Camera access is ON for apps and specifically for Microsoft Teams.
Step 2: Restart Teams and PC
- Quit Teams completely (right-click in system tray → Quit).
- Restart your computer and try again.
Step 3: Update Camera Driver
- Press Win + X → Device Manager.
- Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
- Right-click your camera → Update driver.
- If missing, reinstall from your laptop manufacturer’s site or HP Support:
- HP Software and Drivers
Step 4: Test Camera in Other Apps
- Open the Camera app in Windows.
- If it works there, the issue is Teams-specific.
Step 5: Check Teams Settings
- In Teams:
- Settings > Devices > Camera → Select your camera.
- If blank, Teams isn’t detecting the camera → reinstall Teams.
Step 6: Disable Conflicting Apps
- Close Zoom, Skype, or any app that might be using the camera.
|
Step 7: Update Teams
- Go to Help > Check for Updates in Teams.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
