Hi @asifz3ro

Automatic scrolling issues on your HP 250 G9 Notebook PC can be frustrating. Here are several steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

1. Check External Devices:

  • Disconnect any external devices such as mouse, keyboard, or wireless receiver. Sometimes these devices can send unintended signals to the computer.
  • If the issue resolves after disconnecting a device, it might be faulty.

2. Touchpad Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
  • Ensure that touchpad gestures are set correctly and that there are no unusual settings enabled that could cause scrolling.
  • Try disabling the touchpad temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.

3. Driver Update:

  • Update the touchpad and keyboard drivers:
    1. Open Device Manager.
    2. Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
    3. Right-click on the touchpad device and select Update Driver.
    4. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
  • Do the same for the keyboard and any other input devices listed.

4. Operating System Updates:

  • Ensure that your Windows 10 system is fully updated. Sometimes pending updates can cause hardware conflicts.

5. Check Keyboard Keys:

  • Press each key on the keyboard to see if any are stuck or sticky, especially the arrow keys which can cause scrolling.
  • Clean your keyboard to ensure no debris is causing unintentional key presses.

6. System Settings:

  • Check the Ease of Access settings to ensure that no accessibilities features, such as "Sticky Keys" or "Filter Keys", are interfering with normal input behavior.

7. System Restore:

  • If the issue started recently, consider performing a system restore to a point before the issue began.
