Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that your experiencing issue with the Hibernate mode,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Have you tried restarting your computer after modifying your power plan settings?
  • When did you start experiencing the issue?

While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

1. Right-click on Start.

2. Go to the Control Panel.

3. On the View by options, select Large icons.

4. Click on Troubleshooting.

5. On the left panel, click on View all.

6. Click on Power.

7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

For Windows 7, click the Start button,The Start button click Control Panel, click System and Security, and then click Power Options.

Select Choose what the power button does, and then select Change settings that are currently unavailable. Under Shutdown settings, select the Hibernate checkbox (if it's available), and then select Save changes.

Also, see the following steps:

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Click System and Security.

    Figure: System and Security

  3. Click Windows Update in the System and Security window.

    Figure: Windows Update

  4. Click Check for updates to find the most recent updates for your computer.

    Figure: Check for updates

Check for updates in Windows Update
  5. Install the desired updates:

    • Important updates: Security updates or updates that are important to the health of your computer.

    • Optional updates: Select driver updates or updates that are optional. It is a good idea to download and install optional driver updates, especially if you have changed the Windows edition on your computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,
