My Laptop Wify Card Not working

My wifi is not working, I tried a lot of ways and later I found out that there is a problem with the wifi card, now I have to change it, Is it necessary that only HP whitelisted card can be used in its place or any other card which is not HP whitelisted because that too is very expensive
