Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Mine is a new laptop which is just couple of months old but right from the beginning the performance has been very slow. I see that the startup takes several minutes and sometimes i am unable to see windows password login screen. If i'm able to login to the desktop then it is a nightmare to open any application. It takes more than 10 minutes to performa every action. Could you help to fix this issue

Something is definitely wrong as that is an i7 computer. I suggest testing the memory and hard drive to start out with. Tap esc as you power on the computer then F2 then component tests and run the long form test on memory and hard drive and report results back here, please.

It's certainly the case, as @Huffer indicated, that a new PC with your specs should not be slow.

Hoever, I'd like to suggest an alternat to check -- Windows Update.  Your PC is most likely running Win10 v1803, and since v1809 (the infamous October Upgrade) is out in the wild now, there is a possiblity that MS is trying to push that to your PC and, if that is the case, it's going to slow it down until all those related updates are done.

To disable WU temporarily, do the following:
1) Enter "services" in the search area (again, without the quotes)
2) When the window opens, scroll down until you see Windows Update
3) If it say Running under status, that indicates that WU is running
4) To change that, double-click on that task, select Stop under the Service status, and then Apply
5) That should stop WU -- and you should see an immediate improvement in performance

If not, then WU is not the problem.
