Hi. Recently my computer stopped charging when it's on, if I plug the charger it appears as charging for like 5 seconds and then disappears and doesn't charge.
I've tested my AC Adapter with multimeter and the voltage is correct, I also don't think it's the jack/port because it can still charge when it's off.
The battery works fine, it lasts the time it usually lasted before, charges in ok time aswell (when pc off).
I can't figure what the problem is, only thing different I noticed is that my pc would be 35ºC while not charging and now it's 50ºC not charging.
I would appreciate any help.
PS: I sent my laptop 1y ago for fixing, new battery and AC Adapter btw, but they're both HP Original products.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that your HP notebook battery is not working correctly.
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
- 1. Go to Start, search for Device Manager, and open this result.
- 2. Expand batteries.
- 3. Right-click on the ACPI option (usually the 2nd option) and select delete or uninstall. Follow the prompts.
- 4. Shut down the computer.
- 5. Disconnect the charger.
- 6. Remove the battery. (only for removable battery)
- 7. Hold down the power button for 1 minute.
- 8. Insert the battery only. (only for removable battery)
- 9. Attempt to turn the battery on.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for posting back.
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.
The last thing I can suggest trying to restore a computer back to the factory default, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.
