Product: HP OmniBook 7 16 inch Laptop AI PC 16-ay0000 IDS Base Model

I cannot pass bluetooth audio to my JB Flex headphones to my Omnibook.   Pairing is fine, test audio under Settings>Sound works but any other audio source will not work. This headphone works elsewhere (iPhone, Thinkpad, Roku Streambar).  No matter what I do,  JB Flex still binds to “Connected audio” only.

 

According to my research,  the Omnibook is stuck binding the JB Flex to LE Audio instead of A2DP.   My ThinkPad and iPhone work because they negotiate A2DP correctly, while this Omnibook does not because the JB Flex → HP profile is corrupted.  I have done the following in an attempt to fix this issue:

 

  • Full Bluetooth driver reinstalls
  • Removal of all JB Flex device entries
  • Clearing Windows Bluetooth caches
  • Registry pairing key removal
  • Full shutdown cycles
  • Forced A2DP profile reload attempts
  • Headset‑side resets
  • Cross‑device validation
  • Final diagnosis (per‑device A2DP profile corruption)
  • Bluetooth drive update
