For many months my HP laptops touchpad has not been working. I don't know what the problem is. When I connect a USB Wired mouse it works but I prefer the touchpad so I need it working. On my device manager the touchpad doesn't appear under "Mice and other pointing devices" only my USB mouse shows up. Im on Windows 10 64-bit and version 1909 btw. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

If your touchpad isn’t working, it may be a result of a missing or out-of-date driver. Updating or reinstalling your touchpad drivers in Device Manager may help solve the problem.
To open Device Manager, enter device manager in Search on the taskbar, then select Device Manager.
Update touchpad drivers
Open Device Manager.
To find touchpad devices, select Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices, then right-click the device you'd like to update.
Select Update Driver.
Reinstall touchpad drivers
Open Device Manager.
Right-click the name of the device, then select Uninstall device.
Select Uninstall and then restart your PC.
Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
If Windows doesn't find a new driver and reinstalling the driver doesn’t help, contact your PC’s manufacturer for help.
