@diavolos, Thank you for your response.
Thanks for sharing the Device Manager screenshot and confirming that your device has a built-in Bluetooth radio. Since the Bluetooth driver is completely missing and the steps you've already tried didn’t bring it back, please follow the steps below to dig deeper:
Check BIOS Settings
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled:
- Restart your PC and tap Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.
- Look for “Built-in Device Options” or similar.
- Confirm that Bluetooth is enabled, then save and exit.
Reset Wireless Hardware
Since your Bluetooth is part of a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo card:
- Shut down your laptop.
- Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if possible).
- Hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Wait 2–3 minutes, then power it back on.
Install Bluetooth Driver Manually
Your card appears to be a Realtek model. Try reinstalling both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers:
- Visit the HP Drivers Website.
- Enter your product name or serial number.
- Download and install:
Realtek Bluetooth Driver
Realtek Wireless LAN Driver
- Restart your PC.
Tip: If you’re using Windows 11 and no Bluetooth driver shows up, try selecting the Windows 10 version instead.
Add Bluetooth Manually
Sometimes the system doesn’t auto-detect the Bluetooth module:
- Open Device Manager
- Click Action > Add legacy hardware
- Select Install the hardware that I manually select
- Choose Bluetooth, then select a manufacturer like “Realtek” or “Generic Bluetooth Adapter” and proceed
Fix Unknown USB Errors
From your screenshot, several USB devices are failing to load. This might include your Bluetooth:
- In Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers
- Right-click each “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)” and uninstall them
- Reboot your PC and check if Bluetooth returns
Update Chipset & USB Drivers
Make sure the system can properly recognize the Bluetooth USB interface:
- From HP's support site, install the latest:
Intel Chipset Driver
Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) - Restart the system
Safe Mode Check
Try this just in case a startup app or service is causing the issue:
- Boot into Safe Mode with Networking
- Go to Settings > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Bluetooth
- Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter again
I hope this helps!
If my response resolves your issue, please click “Accepted Solution” to help others find the answer. Also, don’t forget to click the “Yes” button to say thanks!
Take care and have a great day.
