Hi @Kerri1226,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop says “Camera not detected” even though it has a built-in camera, it usually means the system can’t find the camera driver or the camera is disabled. Here’s how to fix it:

1. Check the Camera in Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X → Device Manager.
  • Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
  • If you see your camera:
    • Right-click → Enable device (if disabled).
    • If there’s a yellow warning icon, choose Update driver.
  • If you don’t see the camera, go to step 3.

2. Check Privacy Settings

  • Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
  • Make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are ON.

3. Scan for Hardware Changes

  • In Device Manager → Click Action → Scan for hardware changes.
  • If still missing, the driver may be corrupted.

4. Reinstall Camera Driver

  • Go to Official HP® Support.
  • Enter your laptop model (HP Envy x360 15-fh0000).
  • Download and install the HP Webcam Driver or Realtek/Intel Imaging Driver.
  • Restart your laptop.

5. BIOS Check

  • Restart and press Esc → F10 to enter BIOS.
  • Under Advanced, ensure Integrated Camera is enabled.

6. HP Hardware Diagnostics

  • Press Esc → F2 at startup.
  • Run Component Test → Webcam.
  • If the test fails, it’s likely a hardware issue.
