Hi @RickyBobby361,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're dealing with a permissions issue or a system conflict that's preventing the changes to your fonts from being applied. Let’s work through a few steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check Font Permissions

  • Navigate to the Font Folder:
    1. Open File Explorer and go to C:\Windows\Fonts.
    2. Right-click on the font file you’ve downloaded and select Properties.
    3. Go to the Security tab and make sure your user account has full control. If it doesn't, click Edit and give your account full control.
    4. Apply and click OK to confirm.

2. Use Settings to Change Fonts

Windows 11 doesn’t allow you to change system-wide fonts easily, but you can adjust some font settings in Settings:

  1. Go to Settings > Personalization > Fonts.
  2. Scroll down to Font settings and ensure the font you want is listed here.
  3. You might need to manually install the font into Control Panel > Fonts if it isn't showing in Settings.

3.Check for System Corruption (SFC/ DISM)

It's possible there’s some system corruption affecting font changes. Run SFC (System File Checker) and DISM to check for and fix any errors.

  • Run SFC:
    1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator (right-click Start, select Command Prompt (Admin)).
    2. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
  • Run DISM:
    1. In the same Command Prompt, type:
    2. Wait for the process to finish and restart your PC.

4. Test with New User Account

There might be a configuration issue with your user profile. Create a new user profile to see if the font changes work there:

  1. Go to Settings > Accounts > Family & other users.
  2. Add a new user and log in to that account to check if the issue persists.

5. Ensure Display Scaling is Correct

Sometimes, Windows might not reflect the font changes correctly due to display scaling. Adjust display scaling:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Display.
  2. Under Scale and layout, make sure it’s set to 100% (or your preferred setting).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you very much. That was most helpful. I unfortunately tend to get into things that I don’t understand on this computer and that is the case now. My main concern is that I cannot get into my security and privacy setting. Each time that I try, I get a notice that my IT administrator has prevented me from access. Again, unfortunately, I believe I got into the permissions somehow and changed things up as I am supposed to be the IT administrator of my computer. I have reset it and it does no good. Any advice on my latest Folly?
