Welcome to the HP User Community.

I am very sorry this happened to you.

HP does not track lost or stolen devices.

In most cases your new HP computer would not include native onboard tracking software (formally known as Lo-Jack)

IF your computer had come with this software when it was new,

The software would have reminded you to enable the security and purchase the subscription for the service.

This type of service can be purchased and installed ahead of time (while you still had the device in your possession).

From what I recall, it works quite well, but it doesn't work "everywhere".

Windows "Find my device" only works if you had enabled it when you had the computer.  When enabled, Find my Device works if the thief is nice enough to switch on the computer so it connects to the Internet and the software is able to see it.

If you have data stored in one or more Cloud storage services, that data is likely still safe and available.

Many times thieves do not care about the contents of the computer.

IF they do care and they have a means to get in, you data is certainly at risk.

Do change all the passwords to Cloud storage and ANY other service, website, bank...

Change the password access to everything that was on that computer that could lead someone to your personal data.

If you have a local police department, report the theft.

If the police find your computer, it can help them prove someone took it and it could help you get back your property.

Talk to someone you know about what happened - ideas and emotional support can help when you are overwhelmed.

Optional Security / Tracking Coverage – Track and Lock

HP does not track / lock computers.

That said, if the product is available in your region,

Absolute Protection provides several services, including Delete, Locate, Recover

Search for "Absolute" or  "Absolute Home & Office"

  HP Store

Click the Flag at the bottom to change regions

Hopefully, either this service or something similar is available in your region.
