WWAN is an option, without WWAN the SIM card is useless. Did you buy an option for your machine ? Please check Device Manager under Network Adapters to see does it have one of the following WWAN options
● HP hs3110 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module
● HP lt4211 LTE/EV-DO/HSPA+ Gobi 4G Module
● HP lt4112 LTE/HSPA+ Gobi 4G Module
If not, you can not use your SIM card.
