Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
I'm afraid this part cannot be used with your product as it may not be supported,
And if you need to get this fixed, you may want to check with a local tech/store as HP doesn't support or recommend it.
If the information I've provided was helpful,
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
As I Understand the mPCIe isn't being detected on your laptop,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
What exactly is it that you are trying to connect? Could you be more specific?
Are there other devices working on the mPCIe slot?
While you respond to that, I recommend you check the below details:
Your PC has: One half-size mini card/PCI Express (HMC/PCIe) slot and the wireless module has taken up this space, do you mean this device is not detected?
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,
Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.
