Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • What is the operating system?
  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  (for all HP's notebook)

Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8.

BIOS default:

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer. If your computer does not power on then that would confirm a hardware failure.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks, @Echo_Lake for A2A, well I haven't made any software or hardware changes and my laptop is running on windows 10.

I have done all the steps that you have mentioned, but the problem persists.

While shutting down the laptop, it keeps on getting shutting down, I mean that shutting down screen goes for infinite time, it doesn't get shut down.

PS: I don't want to hard reset my notebook.

Thank you for posting back.

Hard reset will not remove or erase your data it will just release the static electricity which is stored in your computer.

If its a hardware related issue with the computer then you need to service the unit.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

My laptop is not getting Windows 10 November Update 1909, I have checked in update under settings and I have also tried by using Windows Update Assistant, it also didn't work for me.

PS: I am also enrolled in Windows Insider Program, hopes it doesn't effect in this.
