My tablet keeps saying when I try to update it "the software you have installed is not recognized

My tablet is HP 10 version, I go to settings to try to update the tablet because I've done whatever I could and snapchat keeps saying "unfortunately Snapchat has stopped" and I can't even stay on the app for5 secs before it says that, but now its saying when I try to update it that "the software you have installed is not recognized by the server, please install the correct software and try it again" i don't know what to do
