Morning all!
I spoke with Christopher from India, funny that he has a western name seeing as he mainly types, but helpful in a way that he was able to remote to my pc and look at the issue of my laptop's resolution being extremely bad! I told him i had done everything possible and believed it was a driver issue but couldn't change the driver no matter what i did?
He tries a few things and it isn't anything i haven't already done myself but he opens the device manager and sees the webcam is listed under Cameras!
He says this is wrong!
It's meant to be integrated devices or something with the correct device then linked underneath, currently it says HP HD Webcam and in properties the manufacturer is SunplusIT with the driver being SunplusIT, 5.0.8.29, 22/04/2020.
The interesting thing is if you go into Events there is all kinds of activity and i know i haven't been making the changes to the driver but it read in the information box Device USB\VID_04CA&PID_7022&MI_00\6&358b461a&0&0000 requires further installation.
So how do I reinstall or fix this webcam issue?
I want to live stream and this is holding me up! It worked perfectly a month ago and has only just happened but these kinds of things always seem to happen to my webcams, someone doesn't like me making videos and posting them online!
I really need to speak to someone real - do they provide this option in 2023 HP? I mean it's not hard to employ people that run tech support to fix tech support issues in 2023 surely?
Everywhere is so high tech, but i can't find a single phone number to ring someone at Hewlitt-Packard for my support needs when its their issue and i running all over the internet trying to find anyone that can solve this unique problem, because fair dink um it's 2023, customer support sjhould be available 24 hours a day and you should have representitives in the thousands working around the clock to keep the people happy and online and doing what it is they require to do.
Chasing after no one to solve an issue that is unique and can't be solved by a program pretending to be customer support is not good enough in 2023! 1
How do i find a customer support human representitive to speak with to solve my issue which is their issue?
