HP Pavillion 15 Gaming ec-000x
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Allright HP lads, here's the thing, I bought this HP pavillion Gaming 15 for my university work and gaming but what I didnt realize was that ryzen 5 will take away my very important usable 2.1 gb of ram for no reason whatsoever, mate...I have a gtx 1650...even if you want to reserve some ram then take a couple hundred mb's not 2GB's. You are not letting us change the BIOS settings either.

Allright here my point, I want to convey a message to the Software developers and the thing I am about to say can really help thousands of your customers.

We as a gaming community on HP, we want HP to release a BIOS update specifically for gaming models so that we can atleast change the shared VRAM then we can have the performance we pay'd HP for. Since you have left us helpless in this situation by locking out the advanced settings in bios, I desperately and humbly request that whoever is reading this, please,please,please try to convey this msg to any HP SOFTWARE DEVELEPOR or a SENIOR who can do something about it. We need that BIOS UPDATE so that we can change the VRAM settings. I am afraid if this problem is not looked at by HP devs, they will start losing customers soon. GIVE US OUR RAM BACK.....please, I cant work with just 2gb of free ram 😞 and I cant afford to buy more ram rn, I spent my savings buying this laptop.

@SAINI7_SDMN

That is a known issue which is related to AMD processors. Please check the following article:.

And from Microsoft PlayReady.

Thanks for replying, But do they really need 2gb mate? I dont see them using it at all in the resource monitor, All I am asking for is a BIOS update so that we can decrease that shared memory to like 512mb minimum and then everyone is happy. Its like a scam if you ask me, Customers paying for 8 gigs, only getting 5.92 and then not letting us change it to how much we need. smells like Communism in here 😕 .

How am i meant to do my Software development projects and gaming on 2.5 gb of free ram?

How can I contact the devs, if possible?

I dont think this will be acknowledged at all by them unless the community pressurize them. Just a software Update....Thats all it will take.
