Hi @DESKTOP-39JPF1V,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 15 laptop is unable to find Wi-Fi networks, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
1. Check Wi-Fi is Enabled
- Make sure the Wi-Fi is turned on. You can do this by checking the physical switch (if available) on your laptop or by pressing the appropriate function key (often F12) that toggles Wi-Fi.
2. Restart Your Laptop
- A simple restart can often resolve connectivity issues.
3. Check Airplane Mode
- Ensure that Airplane mode is turned off. You can find this in Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode.
4. Check Network Settings
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status and click on Network troubleshooter to diagnose and fix problems automatically.
5. Update Network Drivers
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters, right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter, and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
6. Reset Network Settings
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Scroll down and click on Network reset. This will remove all network adapters and reset network settings to their defaults.
7. Forget and Reconnect to the Network
- If your laptop has previously connected to the network, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
- Select the network and click Forget. Then reconnect by selecting the network from the Wi-Fi menu and entering the password.
8. Check the Router
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi router is working properly. Restart the router and check if other devices can connect to the network.
9. Use Windows Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters and select Internet Connections to run the troubleshooter.
10. Check for Windows Updates
- Ensure your system is updated. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
