See if this works...
Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box, type “charmap” (without the quotes), and press Enter.
Locate and select the pound sterling symbol (£) and then click the “Copy” button. You can now paste the symbol into any application.
I just followed the instructions I posted, and copied and pasted the £ symbol below.
