Victus Gaming Laptop 16-s0057nt

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a second-hand HP Victus laptop because I wanted to play Valorant. Unfortunately, I found out that the previous owner was cheating in Valorant and the laptop is now hardware banned (HWID ban). I saw online that some people were able to bypass this by changing the BIOS version, so I want to try it too.

Currently, my BIOS version is F.29 Rev.A. I couldn’t find a newer BIOS version on the HP website. If there is one, could you please share it? If not, I want to downgrade to an older BIOS version (I also couldn’t find older versions on the website).

I am also open to any other methods you could suggest to change my motherboard’s HWID, so that I can play Valorant again.

This situation really upsets me because I live in Turkey and prices for new laptops are very high. Buying second-hand was my only option. I also downgraded to Windows 10 because I saw that there are some spoofing drivers shared only for Windows 10, not Windows 11.

My English is not very good, so I used an AI assistant to write this message. Please forgive any mistakes. Thank you very much for any help or support you can offer!

Best regards,
Deniz

Hi @Deniz15,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with BIOS downgrades or changing the Hardware ID (HWID) for the purpose of bypassing bans in games like Valorant. These actions can violate the terms of service of the game and lead to further issues, including permanent bans.

For support and services, it is always recommended to adhere to software licensing agreements, end-user license agreements, and any terms outlined by the game developers or software providers.

If you are experiencing issues with your device or need assistance with legitimate hardware support from HP, I am here to help with that.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Hi again,

First of all, I’d like to clarify that I’m strongly against cheating in competitive games. Thank you for your message and your time.

I actually realized that attempting such actions would be unethical, and that’s why I’m now trying to restore my system back to its original state. Unfortunately, I ran into several issues during this process, which I’ve explained in detail in my second post titled "Big OS Problems Please Help".

I’ve decided to wait until my Valorant ban naturally expires. In the meantime, I will also try to reach out to Riot Games, hoping they understand my good intentions and maybe offer assistance.

Thank you again for reading my message and taking the time to respond. Wishing you a great day and continued success!

*P.S. I’m not an HP employee 🙂 *

Best regards,
Deniz
