I was told by Microsoft support that my BIOS was too old. Also my lpatop is not updating even with HP support assistant, probably it does not show as now my OS is upgraded to windows 10. Originally it was WIndows 7.

So decided to check on the forum as Support assistant despite the latest version upgrade also could not successfully download from HP website the latest info

There is no Windows 10 support from HP for your laptop is why HP Support Assistant can't find anything.

As stated now by 2 of us, your BIOS is the newest version. I suspect you cannot upgrade to Windows 10 Fall Creators Edition and you likely are not going to be able to do so because of the age of the hardware. Post back with any further questions.

Actually I was able to upgrade to ver 1709.

The problem I am having is that the finger print scanner stopped working so have to now type my password to login.

If the finger print scanner would work it would be all ok.

Can you please point me to the individual driver of the finger print scanner builtin my laptop.

Thankyou.
