HP Pavilion x360 - m3-u103dx

I’m trying to download a software, Revit, and everytime it says to free up space on my deployment image drive, I’m not sure how to do that and I don’t want to delete stuff I need for the Revit Software because it requires “pre-requisite downloads”

@Jadiana_x1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Pavilion x360!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like your system might be referring to the recovery partition or another reserved system drive, which isn’t meant for storing new software. Here are a few things you can try:

Check the Installation Path:

Make sure Revit is installing on your main drive (C:) and not a restricted system partition.

If the installer allows you to choose a location, try setting it to another drive with enough free space.

Free Up Space Safely:

Open Storage Settings (Press Windows + I > System > Storage) to see what’s taking up space.

Use Disk Cleanup (type it in the Start menu) to remove temporary files, old Windows updates, and unnecessary system files.

If you have a lot of downloads or old files, consider moving them to an external drive or cloud storage.

Check Autodesk's Pre-Requisites:

Revit’s pre-requisites might include extra downloads—make sure those aren’t defaulting to a limited drive.

If needed, uninstall any incomplete Revit installations, restart your PC, and try installing again with a fresh download.

If the issue persists, could you check which drive letter the installer is asking you to clear up? That’ll help narrow things down further. Let me know, and we’ll figure this out together!

Hope this helps! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
