To download an update for your HP laptop, here’s the recommended process:

Step 1: Identify Your Laptop Model

  • Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and hit Enter.
  • Note the Product Name and System SKU.

 

Step 2: Go to HP Support

  • Visit: Official HP® Support
  • Download and install: 
    • BIOS Update
    • Chipset Drivers
    • Graphics Drivers
    • HP Support Assistant (optional, for automatic updates)

 

Step 3: Use HP Support Assistant

  • If installed, open HP Support Assistant → Updates → Check for updates.
  • Install all recommended updates.

 

Step 4: Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates.
  • Install all pending updates.
