Recently I have been trying to download the Netflix app and have not been able to. I was using the app a few days ago when all of the shows I was watching were unable to play. I checked the App Store to see if it needed an update but discovered the application had been completely uninstalled. I tried to reinstall the app but received the message "The app encountered a problem. Please reinstall to repair." I've since tried to reinstall in several times. The downloading process gets as far as the "Install" stage before repeating the same message that "The app encountered a problem. Please reinstall to repair." I'm not sure if this is a problem with my computer or with Netflix. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello, @JacquelynD – Hope you are well 🙂
Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel!
I see that you are having issues while installing the Netflix from Windows store. I will certainly do my best to help you with this issue 🙂
I would suggest refreshing the Windows Store on your PC and then try installing the app. Follow the steps below:
- Press the Win+R keys to open the Run dialog box.
- Type WSReset.exe, and click/tap on OK.
- Open Run again, type %temp% to get the temporary files. Delete everything here (skip the ones which cannot be deleted)
- Restart your computer.
- Now, go to the Windows Store and try installing the app.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
Have a great day 🙂
