I just unboxed my new laptop

HP 250 15.6 INCH 5.9 NOTEBOOK PC

P/N: 969L3ET#ACQ

S/N: CND4503AC3T

The installed RAM says 16GB but it when trying to get the warranty information on the HP site it says that the laptop is a 8GB. Please confirm which RAM is correct or explain why it is showing up like this.

Hi @ZeldavWyk

According to the product number you have only 8 GB of ram. if there is a discrepancy with what it says on the box contact the seller,

Update: the seller upgraded the ram to 16gb and added 200gb more memory to this laptop, the processor is still the same Intel Celeron.

Would this modification negatively affect this type of laptop?  the processor is still the same Intel Celeron.

does not affect these modifications, but I don't know if your seller upgraded to 16 GB.

The system information on the laptop states

'Installed RAM: 16gb'

And the memory capacity shows a 'new memory drive' which is 200gb

I suspecting it is the seller who modified the computer. How would this affect the laptop?

HP Recommended

if the seller is authorized by HP to upgrade the laptop, the warranty is still valid. does not affect  the laptop
