HP Pavilion X360 14" Full HD 2-in-1 Laptop (256GB) [Intel i5]

Looking for some help please.

Purchased a HP Pavilion X360 14" 2 in 1 laptop (256 GB) and all the programs can't update or download.  It keeps coming up with an error "Give us a few minutes SOmething went wrong on our end. Wait a bit, then try it again. Code 0x80244018"

 

I have tried restarting the laptop but no updates are happening.  Has anybody seen this before?

This is an indication of a corrupted Windows Store -- which then prevents anything else from installing or updating.
