I'm looking to upgrade my hard drive in my laptop from a HDD to a SSD.
What is the easiest way to backup my current hard drives operating system (windows 10) and installing it on the new SSD Drive?

The easiest way is to clone old HDD to new SSD using many cloning software. You will get everything from old HDD to new SSD. You need an adapter or a case (if you wish to use old HDD as an external drive). Pleae use the following steps
(a) Mount/Install new SSD to adapter (or a case), (*)
(b) Connect to machine and clone, (**)
(C) Swapp HDD with SSD.
Now you can use old HDD as an external drive
(*) Case:

(**) Cloning software

Thanks banhien, that sounds like an easy enough process to follow.
If I wanted to install a fresh version off windows 10 on my hp laptop using the Microsoft recovery USB drive created through the settings on my PC.
Is it a matter of flashing the new SSD with the software and once install is completed, installing all the drivers for my laptop (hp website has all drivers for my laptop online)?
