Hello,
I have the same issue: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Software-and-How-To-Questions/Persistent-Latency-Issues-with-...
But the Link to the drivers is dead/broken.
The Problem is the latency. It goes from 6ms to 3000ms on all machines we have from this series (Probook 465 G11). I takes 4 minutes to get to the Windows start screen (where I can enter the crendentials). If I plug the LAN Interface, it takes 35 secs. Here is the Ping pattern:
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=5ms TTL=128
Zeitüberschreitung der Anforderung.
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=2843ms TTL=128
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=8ms TTL=128
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=2018ms TTL=128
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=8ms TTL=128
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=1854ms TTL=128
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=8ms TTL=128
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=2571ms TTL=128
Zeitüberschreitung der Anforderung.
Antwort von xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Bytes=32 Zeit=1839ms TTL=128
Any other model (for example Probook 430 G8) don´t have this problem.

Hello,
I had the exact same problem as you, with ping requests to local devices that could take up to 3 seconds!
This started about 10 days ago.
I tried many different driver versions for the MT7922 MediaTek Wifi adapter.
All drivers version 3.x.x.x show the same latency, then I found on Microsoft Catalog version 25.40.2.586, that seems to fix the issue.
I've been running ping command for the last 30 minutes now without any latency (latencies appeared after few seconds with versions 3.x.x.x).
Here is the link https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=MT7922%2025.40.2.586%2025H2
Hope this helps

Hi @OettiIT
Try this driver version
MT7922 Driver, version 3.5.0.1374
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp170001-170500/sp170057.exe

Hi @Resistencia,
This is the one with the issue. I think it came with the last Windows update. I also tried to roll back to the old one 3.4.0.1304 (it worked for the last year with this one). The problem suddenly occurs 1 or 2 weeks ago (MS Patchday maybe). Then I found the entry in the forum with the driver recommendations for 3.5.0.7 but I can´t download it. When I put a realtek wifi card in the pcie slot of the NB It works well. So It must be the mediatek. Unfortunately I have planty of them here at our company...

Hi, @OettiIT
There is a newer driver than 3.5.0.1374.
MT7922 Driver, version 3.5.0.1380
FIXES:
- Fixes an intermittent issue that causes the system to disconnect from the network. (MT7922)

Hi,
I tried both of them. I get the same issue. At boot sequence the latency is awful bad:

When I change the hardware wifi card to an Realtek, the error is gone imidiately. But I have about 60 pieces of this model. I don´t want to buy new cards. I also tried different NB models with different chipsets of wifi -> no issue. I deactivated the energy savings (in UEFI and Windows) and so on. nothing changes.
When I first tried the 3.5.0.1374 in the morning, the issue dissapears for 3 reboots -> then again high latency. The driver at device manager is still the 3.5.0.1374. I deleted every other driver in the driver storage. I have no clue...
thx

Hi:
Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem could be, but I don't understand why the driver didn't update to version 3.05.00.1380.
My initial reaction was that HP mislabeled the driver version, but when I explored the driver file that was created when you run the file, in the MT7922 driver folder it shows version 3.05.00.1380.
[Version]
Signature = "$Windows NT$"
Class = Net
ClassGUID = {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
Provider = %MediaTek%
CatalogFile = mtkwl6ex.cat
DriverVer = 01/16/2026, 3.05.00.1380
PnpLockDown = 1
Try manually updating the driver to version 3.05.00.1380 by going to the device manager.
Click on the Mediatek wifi adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp171422.
Make sure that the include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.
The driver folder shows driver support for the following MT7922 hardware IDs:
; MT7922
%MT7922.DeviceDescExA% = MTK7922_DEFAULT.ndi, PCI\VEN_14C3&DEV_7922&SUBSYS_792214C3
%RZ616.DeviceDescExA% = AMD7922_DEFAULT.ndi, PCI\VEN_14C3&DEV_0616&SUBSYS_061614C3

sorry but this was a misunderstanding. I already tried 3.5.0.1380 and the 3.05.00.1374. You see the right driver number in control panel -> so it´s updated correctly but the issue is the same at both versions. I cleaned the driver space and tried the 3.05.00.1374 first, cleanded again then tried the 3.5.0.1380. Nothing changes at latency, still high. I´m sorry

I also tried change speed from ax over ac to n; I disabled roaming in Wifi card. I preferred 5 ghz, and so on, nothing changes. I can repruduce this issue on all models with mediatek. In sophos fw, there will be bad tcp packages from this adress, so there must be a problem with the cards/drivers. No other chipset at our company had the same problem.
