I have recently purchased an HP all-in-one PC and the right side that usually contains a DVD/CD rom doesn't have a physical button to push and I don't see anything that can indicate it to open but there is a rectangle there. I have pressed on it, no luck. 

does this device even have a DVD rom? Hardly any PCs come with DVD drives anymore.

 

If you need a DVD drive, you can purchase a USB one.

 

No doubt if you look up the model specifications for your PC, it will indicate that no optical drive is included.
